Michael, thanks for your reply.
I totally agree that SQL Server on Windows will be the best combination for some time. But interesting to see that Microsoft gave up the distrust concerning Linux as a reliable server and integrate all these into their Azure cloud.

The Installation on Linux is just as easy as described in the documentation. Also the upgrade to the latest Release vNext CTP 1.1 was just two commands.
