Hello, fellow sysops folks!
I am personally asking you to chime in and let me and other authors know what kinds of PowerShell things you are interested to read about. I have my ideas about what I want to write about but I often wonder if my thought process is in sync with the greater community of people that are active here on 4sysops.
What topics are you interested in seeing articles about?
- very technical, deep topics?
- less deep, more broad topics?
- PS concepts docs (ie how to do “X”)?
- Beginner / Intro to PS type articles?
- Please help shape what gets posted on 4sysops.

These are good topics and we will keep that in mind. In the meantime, you can find topics about CIM and PowerShell here:
FREE: WMI Administrative Tools – WMI Object Browser and WMI CIM Studio
Managing Services the PowerShell way – Part 7: Stop and start with CIM
Managing Services the PowerShell way – Part 10: Event queries with CIM
You can also read Adam’s article about service monitoring with PowerShell.

I think the general consensus is all the above as the Sys Admins that are more in depth with PS would probably like the advanced technical topics whereas the less advanced/beginners like myself appreciate the concepts/explanations and how to(s) gaining the experience and comfort level of more advanced PS examples.
Adding to the list if I may, more PS integration with SCCM.

Lee, thank you for your post. We try to cover beginner topics and also topics for advanced PowerShell users. As a matter of fact, articles about beginner topics find a lot more readers. So you are not alone. The problem is that experts often don’t like to write about beginner topics. Don’t hesitate to let us know if there is particular topic that you are interested in.

keep that feedback rolling in! I am reading every response and taking the comments to heart and using the feedback to help me consider which topics I plan to tackle in the next few weeks.

PS concepts docs (ie how to do “X”)Could you expand a little bit on what concepts you might want some details on? Are you talking about things like:
- How to make a function?
- How to configure ps-remoting?
- How to invoke-command?
or more like:
- How do I find files on a remote machine using PS?
- How do kill sessions on servers?
- How do I install features on servers?
Again – just trying to dial in what you guys and girls could use help with…

Hi Guys,
I really need some practice as it relates to Azure PowerShell and passing the 70-533 Microsoft exam. Are there any resources in this area?
Thanks,
Mike

We published a lot about Azure and PowerShell. Just search for it by clicking the search icon in the header. We have two more Azure articles scheduled this week. Be careful if you search online for exam content and courses. There are many black sheep in the market. Pluarlsight is usually a good place to get started.
