Site performance improvements

I improved the performance of several site components to speed up the site. Most importantly for members, all activities where member points are assigned such as posting or liking should be much faster now.

I made quite a few changes to the code and the database and the process is still on going. So please let me know if you experience issues.

I don’t know if it is related to the latest changes but the Member leaderboard for current month is not updating points.

There was an issue with the cache. It should be good now.

Hi Michael,

I have noticed that the news updates that I posted today, do not appear as links. Instead they appear a note on me posting an update without the actual link and content.

Hi Michael,

I just noticed a ‘read more’ option which is expanding the content to show it all. So, its ok i guess, though I don’t remember seeing this behaviour earlier.

Actually, this was bug I added when I changed the code the other day. The news updates should work again now.
