    Hi all,

I want to restrict my domain users from running Microsoft Edge on Windows 10 PCs. How can I do that? I did for Internet Explorer but I don’t see any relevant policies for Edge.

I Googled and people suggested to use admx template file but no one listed the complete method.

    Please help.

    Thank you

    Karim

Blocking or disabling Edge is probably not a good idea because the browser is essentially a part of the OS.

What you can do is set Internet Explorer as default browser with Group Policy. This should also work for Chrome and Firefox.

In addition you can remove Edge from the Taskbar with Group Policy. I also described this procedure in the above blog post.

To be on the safe side, you can also remove Edge from the Start menu with Group Policy by deploying a new Start menu layout.
