    Hi all,

    I am migrating users using VBscript between two domains in the same forest. But, I am getting the following error:

    ADMT.Migration.1: Unable to migrate users. Unable to connect to domain ‘MYSOURCEDOMAIN’. The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted.

    The domain  can be pinged from command line, and earlier I was able to migrate users with GUI and command prompt.

    Following are the content of script file.

    <job id=”dasd”>
    <Script language=”VBScript”  src=”templatescript.vbs” />
    <Script language=”VBScript” >
    Option Explicit

    Dim objMigration
    Dim objUserMigration

    Set objMigration = CreateObject(“ADMT.Migration” )
    Set objUserMigration = objMigration.CreateUserMigration

    objMigration.SourceDomain = “child”
    objMigration.SourceOu = “Users”
    objMigration.TargetDomain = “yourdomain.com”
    objMigration.TargetOu = “Students”
    objMigration.PasswordOption = admtComplexPassword
    objMigration.ConflictOptions = admtIgnoreConflicting

    objMigration.Intraforest = True

    objUserMigration.MigrateSIDs = True
    objUserMigration.TranslateRoamingProfile = True
    objUserMigration.UpdateUserRights = False
    objUserMigration.FixGroupMembership = True
    objUserMigration.MigrateServiceAccounts = False
    objUserMigration.MigrateGroups = False

    objUserMigration.Migrate admtData, “CN=if”

    Set objUserMigration = Nothing
    Set objMigration = Nothing
    </Script>
    </job>

    Any clues?

    Thank you,

    So I carefully checked, the users were already migrated in the target OU despite the error. Look like some bug in ADMT.

      Strange. Maybe next time you try PowerShell. VBscript is dying.
