It seems that Microsoft is serious to keep the release date. At least it sounds like this in Jim Alchim's letter. The download was pretty fast. I guess because most American Windows fans are in their beds now dreaming of the next Vista release candidate. The first thing I tried was to install Vista RC2 on VMware Workstation.
- Pip install Boto3 - Thu, Mar 24 2022
- Install Boto3 (AWS SDK for Python) in Visual Studio Code (VS Code) on Windows - Wed, Feb 23 2022
- Automatically mount an NVMe EBS volume in an EC2 Linux instance using fstab - Mon, Feb 21 2022
They fixed the problem with the graphics adapter, but now the Vista setup can't find a driver for the virtual CD/DVD drive. This is annoying!
Several thousand readers have accessed my articles about the problems with Vista RC1 and VMware Workstation [1] [2]. The latter one still gets the most hits of all posts every day. So do Microsoft developers really don't know that many testers use VMware Workstation? Meanwhile I am beginning to think that this can't be an accident.
Here are download links for Vista RC2:
