Microsoft released a public beta of Windows Vista. It can be downloaded here. Somehow I think that Gartner was wrong with the prediction that Microsoft will postpone its final release again.

    I tried to run the Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor beta from the Evaluate Your Current PC link but it wouldn't run on Windows XP x 64.  I got "Sorry.  You must run setup on Windows XP or Windows Vista."  Lame

  2. The Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor is only a beta version. Hoewever, I was quite surprised that standard hardware is not yet supported so short before the release date.
