Thanks for your list, it’s very useful for me, but you said about a free Sandboxie, as far as I know Sandboxie is not free. I will check periodically this article for news on security tools. A good security tool I know is Private Firewall 7.0
SIW or System Information for Windows is a free application that does the same thing as Belarc Advisor, and much more. Both programs generate a hardware and software profile of your computer. What Belarc Advisor does is build a simple list of the hardware and software installed on your computer. For example, I might use Belarc to see what the model of dvd burner is in my laptop. SIW is much more thorough. Besides hardware and software installations, you can view things like loaded dlls, file associations, licenses, running processes, BIOS, ports, printers, broadband speed, network connections… you name it, SIW probably lists it. The information is shown in an intuitive tree format making everything easy to find. Belarc is nice, but once you try SIW, it’s no contest.
