Michael Pietroforte is a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) with more than 28 years of experience in system administration.

Interesting press conference, not because of what they said, but if you read between the lines, it is obvious that they are quite nervous. I think Microsoft has enough smart people to replace Gates; however, there is a big psychological problem now for the company.

Some years ago Microsoft worried that the company would be separated into two different companies. Now, it appears that a much bigger division is happening. For many people Microsoft and Bill Gates just belong together. With Gates’ current move, Microsoft could be seen as only half of the company it once was.

Maybe I should concentrate more on Linux now. ;-)
