		<description>The comment about ESX Server is correct.  There is a common misconception that ESX is a customised version of RedHat.  The VMKernal is actually completely proprietary, however the Service Console used to configure and manage ESX happens to be a VM running an modified version of Red Hat 7.2.  I would assume that Longhorn Server is very similar in that it wouldn&#039;t make sense to bloat the Hypervisior with Service Console type functionality, it makes more sense to use a host OS to carry out that task.  It&#039;s interesting that the implication there is that all Longhorn servers are effectively VM&#039;s.</description>
