I just tried it on my HP laptop. No luck. About a minute after startup, definitely after the program has started, the whole screen "smears out". Have to hard reboot.

The description sounded exactly like what I was looking for. This is the second tool I've tried. Guess I'll keep looking.

You know, I still hit the drop down, to see what program is actually triggering the prompt. I've read about Symantec's UAC filter, but the verdict is still out on it for me.

I disabled only the prompts. I still believe that too many security prompts reduce security in the long run because one gets used to it. I now played a little with Symantec's solution. It seems to be the better solution. I will post something about it soon.

This is a very interesting post. I prefer the UAC concept but it's such a pain that I diable this "feature" on my home PC's. I'm definitly interested in hearing of your results with other extensions.
